A painter in oil, watercolours, pastel, pen and ink, Bob Baird was born in New South Wales in 1948, He studied extensively in Sydney at St. George Technical College, National Art School Sydney, Alexander Mackie CAE and Sydney Teachers College (Sydney University).
A teacher and painter of portraits and impressionist style landscapes, he first exhibited in 1977, holding his first solo exhibition in 1988 at Holdsworth Galleries in Sydney.
He was also a full-time Fine Art educator with TAFE School of Art and Design from 1980 to 2008.
In 1998 he was Artist in Residence at Dobell House/Studio, Wangi Wangi.
Baird's work is represented in the Art Gallery of New South Wales, national and New South Wales state libraries, as well as several institutional collections. Edit or add to this biography
