Adam Gustavus Ball (1821-82) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1821, Adam Ball arrived in Sydney in 1839, where he worked as a civil engineer, and also explored and sketched the countryside. In 1847 Ball helped drove cattle to Adelaide, where he remained until his death in 1882. His work, much of it initialled 'AGB' is represented in the National Library of Australia the Art Gallery of South Australia and regional galleries Edit or add to this biography
