Biography: Born in Melbourne in 1907, Lempriere studied in Melbourne and Paris. In the early 1960s she worked in Europe and exhibited at the Leicester Galleries. She has painted many works based on Aboriginal art and is represented in the Art Gallery of NSW. Helen Lempriere died in 1991.
