Biographical Information

Born at Hermannsburg near Alice Springs in 1916, Reuben Pareroultja commenced painting in 1945 after working at the Mission and in Alice Springs. A member of the Arunta Tribe, he painted watercolour landscapes of central Australia. His work is represented in the Australian National Gallery and in most state collections. He died about 1986.
