Biographical Information

Born in Sydney in 1957, Arone Meeks studied extensively in Sydney and later in India and France. An Aboriginal painter, illustrator and printmaker he has exhibited widely since 1978. Meeks designed the 1986 Australia Day stamp. His work is represented in the Australian National Gallery, state galleries of Western Australia and New South Wales and in the National Gallery of Japan.
