Robert Ulmann (1927-.) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Switzerland in 1927, Robert Ulmann studied in Zurich, and travelled through north and south America and the South Pacific before arriving in Australia in 1970. A sculptor and natural history artist, he taught experimental art in the Northern Territory until 1972. His watercolours of wildlife have been exhibited from 1950, and he built a memorial for Fletcher Jones in Warrnambool, Victoria in 1977. Ulmann has received prizes for his watercolours by the Society of Wildlife Artists in Melbourne. He died in 1999. Edit or add to this biography
