Biographical Information

Born in South Africa in 1889, Rose Lowcay arrived in Adelaide as an infant. She studied in Adelaide with James Ashton and in London. She exhibited her paintings - mainly late impressionist landscapes in oil - in Sydney and Melbourne from 1908. Lowcay died in 1968 in Adelaide. Her work is represented in the Art Gallery of South Australia. Edit or add to this biography
