Biographical Information

Born in Berlin, Ruth Lowe moved to Sydney in 1938. In 1959. After a career in millinery, she studied art at East Sydney Technical College. In 1966-8 she studied under Maximilian Fluerring, and her first known exhibition was at Woollahra gallery in 1973. She painted and drew steadily over five decades, exploring many different styles.
