Biographical Information

Born at Napier, New Zealand in 1883, Thomas McCormack was mainly a self taught artist, although he studied briefly in Napier and Wellington. He settled in Wellington about 1915 and exhibited with the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts there. He was on the first committee of the New Zealand Society of Artists in 1933. McCormack died in 1973.
