Biographical Information

Ryan was born in London in 1864 and arrived in New Zealand about 1866. He studied at the Academie Julian, Paris for three years being a fellow student with C. F. Goldie. Ryan lived on the Great Barrier Island in the 1920's. His work is represented in the collections of the Auckland City Art Gallery and the Alexander Turnbull Library. Edit or add to this biography
