Biographical Information

Born in New South Wales in 1960, Wendy Sharpe studied art extensively in Sydney and on travel studies around the world. She held her first solo exhibition in Sydney in 1985, and has been awarded several prizes including the Sulman Prize in 1986 and a postgraduate research award in 1991. Sharpe is also an art teacher, lecturing at community centres, TAFE colleges and, from 1983, at the Julian Ashton School. Her work is represented at the University of Sydney collection.
