Biographical Information

Zella Donaldson (born Zella McVicar) was third eldest out of seven children. She grew up around Lawrence area in the South Island of New Zealand. As a teenager she attended Tawa College Art Classes, which were supervised by Sam Cairncross, She became a member of The Kapiti Art Society' and in her late twenties attended Dunedin Technical Art School, Later, while in Sydney for 8 months she attended art classes in Central Park.
