John K. Drews (1947-.) Australia

Biographical Information

John K Drews was born in Sydney Australia in 1947. He studied at the National Art School from 1963 till 1969. He worked as a lecturer in painting, printmaking and drawing at Woollongong Tafe 1973/74, then City Art Institute as a senior lecturer until 1985.

John then worked in the film industry until 2003.

He now paints and sculpts from his studio on the far south coast of NSW. John has won numerous awards including the Fairfax Young Contemporary award for 1974. Edit or add to this biography
