Biographical Information

After secondary school, Sharon Painter-Arps studied at Otago Polytechnic Art School in Dunedin where she specialised in plastics combined with paint in a two dimensional format.

In 1994 she began to carve in jade and other hard stones and now specilaises in that media.

In 2005 she graduated from Monash University (Melbourne) with a Master of Fine Arts, specialising in New Zealand cross culture in stone carving.
