Biographical Information

Born in Adelaide in 1941, Ben Shearer is a weaver, textile designer, watercolour painter and teacher. He studied in Geelong and Scotland, and worked as a commercial carpet designer before becoming a full-time weaver and painter. Shearer has exhibited in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney since 1970. His work is represented in the Australian National Gallery in Canberra and in institutional and corporate collections in Australia and overseas. Edit or add to this biography
