Biographical Information

John Lloyd-West was born in Wollongong, NSW in 1948. Education Sydney, he obtained a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Griffith University, Brisbane in 1967 and a Bachelor of Education, Griffith University, Brisbane in 2000.

Following graduation he was employed as and art teacher in a secondary school in brisbane, and then at the TAFE on the Gold Coast, Qld.

He speing 2 years overseas in 1971/72 studying art in London and Europe, and exhibited in London during that time.He is influenced by Cubism, Surrealism & Pop Art. Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, Rene Magritte, Hans Bellmer, Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, George Braque.

An oil painting from his first exhibition in Sydney sold to National Collection, Canberra. He has had solo exhibitions in Sydney & Melbourne. John Lloyd-West has works in public & private collections in Australia, Europe and Canada. Edit or add to this biography
