Biographical Information

Born in the USA in 1943, Biron Valier arrived in Australia in 1977. He is a painter, printmaker and teacher. He studied at various colleges and universities in the USA, graduating from Yale in 1969 with a Master of Fine Arts. In Australia he taught at tertiary institutions in Melbourne and Sydney. Valier specialises in depicting fun fair images and games and American roadside culture icons. He first exhibited in Australia in 1978 - in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney. His work is represented at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and in corporate and institutional collections in Australia and the USA. Edit or add to this biography
