David Edgar Strachan (1919-70) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in England in 1919, Strachan was brought to Australia in 1921. He studied extensively in Australia and Europe, and lived in Europe for fourteen years, during which time he conducted a printing business in Paris. On his return to Australia in 1969 he became known for his romantic landscapes. His works are represented in most state and major provincial collections. Strachan died in 1970.
