David Scott Larwill (1956-2011) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Ballarat, Victoria in 1956, David Larwill studied at Prahran College of Advanced Education and the Preston Institute of Technology. In 1979 in association with his then friend and associate, Mark Schaller he founded Roar Studios, which became a base for a group of anti-interllectual expressionist painters. Larwill He is a figurative painter who used crude patterns,, naïve figures thick black lines and hectic colours, and has exhibited in throughout Australia and overseas and in numerous group shows. His work is represented in several state and provincial collections. David Larwill died in 2011 of lung cancer. Edit or add to this biography
