Biographical Information

Born in Sydney in 1930, Donald Mitchell studied in Sydney, London and Perugia. A painter and teacher, he designed and manufactured Australian wallpapers. He exhibited in Sydney and Canberra and was head of the National Art School in Sydney in about 1974. Mitchell's work is represented in the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
