Biographical Information

Born in Taihape, New Zealand in 1922, Douglas MacDiarmid is a self taught artist who graduated from Canterbury University College before serving in the Army and Air Force. In 1950 he went to Paris and taught for a while, but later took up painting full time. He has exhibited widely and his work is represented in public and private collections in New Zealand and overseas. Edit or add to this biography
