Biographical Information

Born in Maryborough in Queensland in 1964, Fiona Foley studied art extensively in Sydney. She later studied in the Northern Territory and in London. A curator, sculptor, painter and printmaker, she has often exhibited her work with Aboriginal and other group exhibitions. She has received commissions from the Aboriginal Dance Theatre, produced posters for the National Aboriginal Arts Awards and seven oil paintings for St Stephen's Cathedral in Brisbane. Foley's work is represented in the National Art Gallery, several state galleries and institutional collections and the Australian National Museum. Edit or add to this biography
