Biographical Information

Frank Trevor Halliday was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1934. After leaving school, he sailed round the world on a 100' ketch, worked on a Dutch whaling factory ship and on East African merchant sailing ships.

He studied Architecture in Cape Town and Sydney, and Painting, Drawing, Etching and Woodcarving at City and Guilds of London Art School.

In Sydney he worked in architecture and town-planning and as an etcher, sculptor and water-colourist. Many of his etchings and watercolours are of buildings, lighthouses and boats. He made various large bronze sculptures on commission.

He died in Sydney in 2003. Edit or add to this biography
