Geoffrey Dance (1930-.) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in England in 1930, Dance arrived in Australia in 1950. He was employed as an advertising designer in Sydney; he also worked as jackeroo and wool-classer. He returned to England in 1962 and began painting seriously, holding several one-man exhibitions in the ensuing years. His paintings, though Australian in their brilliant colouring, are based on the artist's memories of and feelings for the English countryside in his childhood. Edit or add to this biography
