Biographical Information

Born Petone, 1927, Mitchell is the son of the well known graphic designer Leonard Mitchell Educated at the Wellington Technical College he started his career as a House artist for a Wellington printing firm and after WWII joined his father working as a Designer Illustrator. He is best known for his numerous stamp designs for New Zealand Post, including 1960 Pictorial, 1971 Rose Jubilee Set amongst others Edit or add to this biography
