Biographical Information

Born in New South Wales in 1943, Alan Oldfield studied at the National Art School, Sydney. He held his first one-man show in the Watters Gallery in Sydney in 1966; several successful one-man and joint showings both in Sydney and Melbourne followed. He travelled overseas in 1970 and again in 1974, and has won several awards. Oldfield's works are represented in several state galleries and in the National Collection in Canberra. He died in 2004.
