George Frederick Swainson (1829-70) New Zealand

Biographical Information

Son of artist and naturalist, William Swainson, George was born in 1829. He was educated in Auckland and worked as a surveyor. His pencil drawings and lithographs of New Zealand bush scenes are in the British Museum. He died in 1870. Edit or add to this biography
