Albert Enes (1876-after 1945) Australia

Biographical Information

A portraitist and artist of mythological subjects, Albert Enes was born in 1876 and became a student of the influential Melbourne Art School conducted by E. P. Fox and T. St. George Tucker.

Enes exhibited with the Australian Artists' Society, where one year his work "Pan" caused a sensation.

He had a rare sense of colour and composition, his work being treated in an individual decorative way.
