Biographical Information

Born in Brisbane in 1927, Irene Amos studied in Queensland and New South Wales, and on overseas study tours.

An art teacher and abstract painter in oil, acrylic, watercolour and collage, she has held solo exhibitions since 1966. Amos is a member of several art societies, and has won numerous prizes.

Her work is represented in the Queensland Art Gallery, regional and tertiary collections.

Irene Amos died on 10 February 2012 after a short battle with cancer. Edit or add to this biography
