James Fraser Scott (1877-1932) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in New Zealand in 1877, Scott studied at the Dunedin School of Arts before going to Europe to continue his studies. He was appointed an official war artist with the Australian war records section during World War I; it was in this capacity that his best known work, 'Mont St. Quentin' was painted. His works are widely represented in English and European collections. He died in 1932 Edit or add to this biography
