Biographical Information

Born in Hamilton, New Zealand in 1945, Joanna Paul is the daughter of artist Janet Paul. Joanna studied art in London and at the Elam School of Fine Arts. Besides painting and drawing, she is a poet, photographer and film maker. Domesticity features as a regular theme in her work. Paul held her first solo exhibition in 1968 and was awarded the Frances Hodgkins Fellowship in 1983. Edit or add to this biography
