John Aland (1937-2005) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Brisbane in 1937, Aland studied painting under Jon Molvig. After several years as a teacher, he moved to Sydney in 1968, and from 1976 taught at the Union, University of New South Wales. He has had several one-man exhibitions and his work is well represented in public and private collections - including the National Collection in Canberra and several state and regional galleries.
