Biographical Information

Born in Sydney in 1931, John Pickup first commenced painting seriously in 1962. He is a member of the Brushmen of the Bush group in Broken Hill. He first went to Broken Hill as a regional manager for the ABC. He has since purchased and restored an early church in the goldmining town of Silvertown which he runs as a gallery and museum. He has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas with the Brushmen of the Bush group. Edit or add to this biography
