Amelia Mary Phillips (1882-1971) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in England in 1882, Phillips arrived in Australia as a child. She studied at the Melbourne National Gallery School under Bernard Hall and Fred McCubbin, later becoming a teacher of Fine Arts at Swinburne Technical School (in the early 1920s). She has won several awards including the 1957 Albury Prize. She died in 1971. Edit or add to this biography
