Leach Barker (1897-1967) Australia

Biographical Information

Son of painter, John Barker, Leach Barker was born in England in 1897. He served in New Guinea in World War II, but when he was invalided on a war pension, he took up painting watercolours seriously. He was a member of the Perth Society of Artists and taught in Albany. Barker died in 1967. His work is represented in the Art Gallery of Western Australia and regional galleries.
