Biographical Information

Born in Melbourne in 1941, Lesley Dumbrell studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and at Monash University. Known for her abstract and colour paintings, she is married to the sculptor, Lenton Parr. She has exhibited widely throughout Australia since 1969, and has had a number of commissions to design tapestries for institutions such as the Australian High Court. Dumbrell's work is represented in the Australian National Collection and most state galleries. Edit or add to this biography
