Biographical Information

Born in Melbourne in 1878, Mary Meyer studied under E Phillips Fox and Tudor St George Tucker at the National Gallery School, Melbourne and in London. A painter and patron of the arts, she was a friend of Tom Roberts, Rupert Bunny and other members of the Heidelberg School. She was a member of the 'Art Circle' and exhibited at the Lyceum Club, but her works were seldom sold. Mary Meyer died in 1975. Edit or add to this biography
