Maude Winifred Sherwood (1880-1956) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in New Zealand in 1880, Sherwood studied under James Nairn prior to her arrival in Australia in 1915. After an eight-year period in Europe, she returned to Australia in 1933 and held several successful exhibitions. She was a member of the New South Wales Society of Artists. Her work is represented in the Western Australian and New South Wales state galleries. She died in 1956. Edit or add to this biography
