Oswald Rose Campbell (1820-87) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Scotland in 1820, Oswald Campbell arrived in Australia in 1850. He was a cartoonist for 'Melbourne Punch' and 'Illustrated Australian News'. He was drawing master at Melbourne National Gallery School. His watercolours of colonial and gold mining scenes are represented in the Mitchell Library Sydney.
