Peter Findlay (1943-.) Australia

Biographical Information

Peter Findlay was born in India in 1943,and emigrated to Australia in 1951.

He worked as an advertising artist briefly, before embarking on a career as an artist/art teacher with his art group, The Panorama Art Group in 1969.

He painted pop music personalities in the sixties and seventies and some of his clientele include The Beatles, Billy Thorpe, John Farnham, PJ Proby and many of the top Australian and UK artists and groups.

He has painted portraits of many deceased children for their parents and never charged for any of them and given of his time gratuitously to help teach people with great disabilities including a mouth painter for five years at The Julia Farr Centre in SA.

He is equally at home painting portraits,landscapes,underwater scenes,animal studies or nude.

Recently he has been accepted to show several works in Adelaide and Queensland Galleries. Edit or add to this biography
