Biographical Information
Born in 1929 in Israel, Aviva Kamil was a farmer. He arrived in Australia in 1961.
He spent four years with C.A.E and Malvern Artist Society classes and self teaching.
He paints mainly landscapes, in oil and using the palette knife.
Prizes include: First prize,the Mountbatten Award,Royal Overseas League,for best example of Australian landscape in oil (1983). First prize Sandhurst Building Society Special Award,Easter Show Bendigo (1985). Best Local painting under $300 in the Mordialloc Rotary Art Show(1988).
