David Henry Souter (1862-1935) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Scotland in 1862, Souter studied at South Kensington before his arrival in Australia in 1886. He became a member of the staff of the 'Bulletin' founder of the Brush Club within the Royal Art Society of NSW and was president of the New South Wales Society of Artists. In 1904 he became art editor of 'Art and Architecture'. Souter died in Sydney in 1935 Edit or add to this biography
