Biographical Information

Born in Holland in 1931, Carl Van Nieuwmans studied in The Hague and in Sydney after his arrival in 1950. In 1974 he moved to Alice Springs, buying Rex Battarbee's house and gallery to use as his home, studio and gallery. He has held several exhibitions and won awards for his work.

He was the only artist to have an exhibition at the Sydney Opera House. Edit or add to this biography
