Caroline Le Souef (1834-1915) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in England in 1834 Caroline Le Souef (Cotton) arrived in Australia in 1843. Setteling in the Goulburn Valley her family had frequent contact with the local aboriginal population. Caroline married Albert Le Souef, the son of the regional protector of aborininals. Principally a watercolour painter she exhibited at the Melbourne Public Library. She died in 1915.
