Colin Colahan (1897-1987) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in Victoria in 1897, Colahan studied medicine before switching to painting. He studied at the Max Meldrum School and in London and Paris. He returned to Australia in 1927, but departed again for London in 1939. In 1942 he was appointed an official war artist with the Australian forces in England. After the war his interests turned to sculpture. In 1964 Colahan went to Italy and continued sculpting there. He died im 1987. Edit or add to this biography
