Biographical Information

Born in Melbourne in 1920, McDonald is a painter and printmaker. During World War II he served with the Royal Signals Corps, working as a draughtsman. He lectured in graphic illustration at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1962 to 1982. McDonald is best known as a painter of street scenes and old buildings and has won several prizes. McDonald's works are represented in several public collections, including the National Collection, Canberra. Edit or add to this biography
