Biographical Information

Born in England c1813, Duncan Cooper arrived in Australia in 1841. A colonial pastoralist he painted numerous watercolours of his 'Challicum' property in Victoria as well as of Sydney Harbour and Tasmania. He returned to England in 1855 where he died in 1904. His works are represented in the colonial collections of several public galleries and libraries. Edit or add to this biography
