Born in Melbourne_ Studied at School of Design at the National Art School, Melbourne. With Roberts started the first artist camp around Melbourne at Box Hill. Exhibited at the Old Salon in 1897. Visited Europe in 1907. Drawing master at National Gallery School from 1886 to 1917. President of the Victorian Artists' Society 1902-4, 1918-9. 1911-12 Edit or add to this biography
