Biographical Information

Born in South Australia in 1912, Geoffrey Mainwaring studied at the Unley School of Arts. A portraitist and art teacher, Mainwaring was an official war artist in Papua New Guiinea and the Pacific Islands during World War II. His work is represented at the Art Gallery of South Australia and the Australia War Memorial. He died in 2000. Edit or add to this biography
