Godfrey Charles Mundy (1804-60) Australia

Biographical Information

Born in England in 1804, Godfrey Mundy arrived in New South Wales in 1846 as Deputy Adjutant-General of the colonial forces. Also a writer and artist, he wrote and illustrated the publication 'Our Antipodes' (Bentley, London 1852); the proof plates for this book are held in the National Library in Canberra.
